ABRF - the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities - includes over 700 professionals from shared scientific resource facilities drawn from more than 300 academic institutions and corporate organizations across the country.

For over 30 years, ABRF has been committed to Defining Excellence for Shared Scientific Resources Worldwide by establishing and sharing best practices for the structure, leadership, and operations of core facilities. ABRF members engage in regional, national and international events that bring together experts from diverse scientific disciplines to collaborate on common challenges and learn more about the latest technology solutions and research developments.

ABRF is a unique membership association comprising over 1500 members working within or in the support of resource and research biotechnology laboratories. Their members represent over 340 laboratories and administrative offices in government, academia, research, industry and commercial settings.

ABRF promotes education and career advancement for scientists, core administrators, and staff through conferences, a quarterly journal, publication of research group studies and conference scholarships. The society also sponsors multi-center research studies designed to help members incorporate new biotechnologies into their laboratories.
