Their Asian Society for Pediatric Research (ASPR) was established in 2005, with the First Congress held in November 24-26, 2005 in Tokyo, Japan. As a group of pediatricians committed to the care for children through promoting research, They realize the enormity of Their challenge in Asia which has a population of more than 4.2 billion people, accounting for 60% of the world population. Most of them are children and young adults, living in 46 different countries and states, with a wide variation of economic and social development, giving rise to both opportunities and challenges.
