Arizona Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (AASCA)

Ambulatory surgery centers are revolutionizing the way surgical care is delivered, saving the nation billions of dollars annually. Increasing efficiencies mean that physicians have more time to spend in their practices and patients have lower costs and infection rates.

Mission:
AASCA’s mission is to advocate for ASCs in Arizona and to promote excellence.

Goals:
• Promote acceptable standards of care and outcome benchmarks of ASCs in AZ
• Promote excellence in surgical standards of care
• Promote compliance with the Medicare ASC Quality Reporting Program
• Assess state laws and regulations applicable to ASCs and advocate for appropriate changes through regulatory agencies
• Promote cost-effective ASC health care delivery systems
• Educate the public and medical communities of the value added by ASCs
• Collaborate with other health care organizations to achieve common goals and meet the needs of the health care consumer
• Provide a resource for Arizona ASCs through membership and networking
