American Society of Abdominal Surgeons (ASAS)

The American Society of Abdominal Surgeons (ASAS) was founded in 1959, and is a recognized and approved Surgical Specialty Society of the American Medical Association. The Society has a seat in the House of Delegates of the AMA, and is accredited by the Accreditation Council to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The ASAS is approved by the AMA to sponsor Category I credits towards the Recognition Award of the AMA.
