The American Association of Managed Care Nurses was founded in 1994 by a group of nurses who were dedicated to providing educational and networking opportunities for nurses working throughout the managed care industry. AAMCN is a non-profit active membership association committed to helping nurses become successful in their local marketplace through resourceful, responsive member services, education and communication.

Mission AAMCN is to be recognized as the expert and resource in managed care nursing; to establish standards for managed care nursing practice; to positively impact public policy regarding managed healthcare delivery and to assist in educating the public on managed care.

Vision The vision of AAMCN is to be an interrelated member of the managed care delivery team and systems for positive healthcare outcomes.

Who They Are:
They are a national nurse and managed care professional's association for RNs, LVN/LPNs, NPs, nursing students, MCSWs, and LCSWs.
