The American Academy of the History of Dentistry, with members representing nearly every US state and many foreign countries, is a unique organization founded in 1951 to stimulate interest, study and research in the history of the dental profession.
The American Academy of the History of Dentistry, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1951, has as its goals the following:
• Creating an authoritative body to which important questions relating to dental history could be referred for factual verification.
• Stimulating more thorough and comprehensive research in dental history, thereby extending the boundaries of dental knowledge, giving
substantial support to growing professional culture.
