American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM)

The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) is dedicated to teaching physicians who have a scientific and clinical interest in the specialty, and in developing or expanding their Aesthetic Medicine practice. AAAM teaches the art, science, techniques and procedures of Aesthetic Medicine to licensed physicians, regardless of specialty. They provide education and hands-on training, and disseminate leading edge information gathered from advances in North America and around the world to their members and course delegates.
Mission:
The mission of AAAM is to lead the Aesthetic Medicine specialty in education and training and to advance the knowledge and practice of the specialty worldwide. AAAM seeks to enhance the competency and professionalism of aesthetic physicians in providing responsible, safe and a high standard of care their patients. AAAM achieves this through a faculty comprised of professionals who are actively involved in their own practices and possess extensive expertise in aesthetic medicine.

Vision and Goals:
AAAM endeavors to raise standards of knowledge and skills through AAAM courses through closer collaboration with other aesthetic medicine bodies; ethics advocacy; sharing the practice economics of aesthetic medicine; advocating that aesthetic medicine can complement conventional medicine and others such as dermatology, cosmetic or plastic surgery; and by organizing medical congresses and medical ventures summits.
