Alaska Hospital & Healthcare Association (AHHA)

Anchorage, Alaska, United States of America

The Alaska Hospital & Healthcare Association (AHHA) is a non-profit trade association representing more than 65 hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, and other healthcare partners.

Their members are distributed across Alaska’s vast expanse of over half a million square miles, from PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center in Southeast Alaska to Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital in Utqiaġvik, north of the Arctic Circle.

AHHA provides policy and advocacy expertise, leads and hosts opportunities for education and training, and brings together members and stakeholders for collaborative work to share data, resources, and best practices.

Founded in 1953, AHHA was formerly known as the Alaska State Hospital & Nursing Home Association (ASHNHA). In May, 2022, the board passed a resolution to change the association's name in an effort to adopt a more inclusive, concise, and relevant title to represent Their members and mission.

Mission:
AHHA's mission is to advance the shared interests of Alaska's hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare partners to build an innovative, sustainable system of care for all Alaskans.
