AGA Society of Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery

Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland

Founded in 1983 in Zurich as AGA - German-speaking Working Group for Arthroscopy as an association of visionary, German-speaking surgeons and orthopedists with the aim of establishing and further developing arthroscopy as a new, minimally invasive procedure.

With over 6,000 members, the AGA is now Europe's largest professional society for arthroscopy and joint surgery. Its focus is on scientific exchange, the promotion of training and continuing education, quality assurance, and collaborative partnerships with other national and international professional societies. The AGA is the sponsor of the "Understanding Arthroscopy" initiative and a co-founder of the German-speaking Arthroscopy Register (DART).

The AGA is a non-profit association based in Switzerland.
