Description:
This webinar in collaboration with the American Biological Safety Association will include insights and experiences from a panel of biosafety professionals relative to laboratory design. Speakers will discuss unique biosafety challenges in laboratory design including environmentally friendly “green” laboratory operations, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) considerations and mobile laboratory design specifications.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of the program, the participant will be able to:

  • Recognize the importance of various critical elements of a “green” laboratory design
  • Explain the need for consideration of accessibility and ergonomic issues in laboratory design
  • Illustrate various design characteristics for mobile testing and training laboratories domestically and abroad

The Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® Program and CPH-recertification.
