OVERVIEW

UC Health Long-COVID/PASC Module 7 is organized by David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) at UCLA, Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held from Nov 21, 2022 - Nov 20, 2025.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of the activity, learners will be able to learn:
•  Describe the key role that the Emergency Department will play in the care of patients with PASC, especially underserved populations whose primary (only) healthcare access occurs in the Emergency Department
•  Appropriately approach the diagnosis of PASC in the Emergency Department by differentiating PASC from another common diagnosis
•  Recognize principles of admission, discharge, outpatient care, and follow-up for ED patients with PASC and PASC-like symptoms 
•  Apply pillars of lifestyle medicine including, healthful eating, physical activity, managing stress, avoiding risky substances, sleep, and forming and maintaining relationships
• Identify the holistic approach to care
