OVERVIEW

UC Health Long-COVID/PASC Module 1 is organized by David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) at UCLA, Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held from Nov 21, 2022 - Nov 20, 2025.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of the activity, learners will be able to:
•  Describe the epidemiology of Long-COVID, including prevalence of post-COVID sequelae, role of COVID virus variants, and possible risk factors for developing post-COVID sequelae
•  Describe overarching themes in the diagnosis and management of Long-COVID
•  Identify different proposed causes of Long-COVID
•  Summarize the role of vaccination
•  Understand basic work-up of symptoms after COVID infection
•  Utilize appropriate treatment options for patients with persistent symptoms after COVID
•  Determine appropriate patients to consider for extended leave and disability
