Course Description:
This course will describe basic and advanced technical and clinical aspects of transradial (TR) visceral (TACE, Y-90, UFE, bronchial, trauma embolization, visceral PTA) and peripheral intervention (iliam/SFA PTA): patient selection, pre-procedure screening exams, supplies, radial lounge concept, patent hemostasis concept, use of TR in coagulopathic patients, how TR interventions fit in the payment for value-based model and how to develop a TR interventions program.

This program is designed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologist, interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, nurses, techs and other physicians at all levels with special interest in transradial access.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this on-demand activity, participants should be able to:
• Explain how to screen patients for radial access interventions
• Understand access needles, wires, sheaths and heparin/vasodialator use
• Identify and correctly manage complications associated with radial artery access
