OVERVIEW
Thyroid Cancer Webcast is organized by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUMC) and will be held during Jan 13, 2017 - Jan 13, 2020. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
Conference Description :
This presenter would like to convey to the audience that thyroid cancer is NOT the ‘good’ cancer. Many PCPs tell this to their patients in order to reassure them and provide comfort when faced with the diagnosis. While their intentions are likely good, it sends a message to the patient that they should not be upset by the diagnosis. Thankfully most patients will have an excellent survival. The process of being diagnosed with thyroid cancer does impose a significant impact on the patient’s quality of life and puts them at risk of complications from the therapy.
