The Treatment of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and How Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) Can Improve Patient Care is organized by Northwest Imaging Forums (NWIF), Inc..
Start Date: 03/31/2024
End Date: 03/31/2025
Description:
In this webinar, we will cover endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) and fenestrated-branched endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (F-BEVAR) for the treatment of aortic aneurysms. We will also explore possible complications of this treatment, highlighting endoleaks. Cases of how the use of contrast-enhanced ultrasound improved images will be presented with a brief explanation describing how the “bubbles” work. Lastly, a dive into the use of ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound within the vascular surgery practice of the aortic field will be reviewed.
Objectives:
• Introduce the optimal uses of ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound for aortic pathologies.
• Discuss the importance and benefits of contrast-enhanced ultrasound compared to CT.
• Review the limitations of contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
• Review how contrast-enhanced ultrasound improves vascular practice on treatments of aortic aneurysm
