Dates:
Release Date: November 15, 2019
Expiration Date: November 15, 2021

Activity Overview:
Homeopathic therapies have been available and used for over 200 years. They are founded on a system of medicine that consists of specific, highly diluted remedies, and can often times be a challenging topic of discussion. This activity intends to bring awareness about the various types of homeopathic treatments available for wound healing, with a focus on calendula. Pharmacists and nurse practitioners are frequently approached by patients with specific questions on homeopathic therapies, and it is important for them to be able to appropriately answer their questions and address their concerns.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
• Analyze the use of calendula as a homeopathic preparation in dermatologic applications, from wound care to post-radiation dermatologic care
• Illustrate the role of the pharmacist in educating patients on the use of natural treatment options for wound healing, such as calendula

Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
