Description:
This activity was planned with a goal to optimize patients on their current statin treatment strategies to achieve desired LDL reduction, and to identify patients who truly need the addition of non-statin therapies in order to reach “acceptable LDL thresholds.”

Learner Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
• Recognize the barriers in the administration of evidence-based therapies for LDL.
• Evaluate the need for non- statin therapies according to guideline-based assessment of ASCVD risk.
• Utilize a framework for incorporating non-statin therapies into the management of high-risk patients.
