Target Audience:
This course is intended for multiple professions, including nurses and physicians.

Description:
Although more than 33 million adults in this country have incontinence or overactive bladder, two-thirds of adults ages 30 to 70 have never discussed bladder health with their primary care provider. Because incontinence sufferers may be too embarrassed to seek professional help, this socially unacceptable condition is underreported, underdiagnosed, undertreated, and too often viewed as a normal part of aging.

Learning Objectives:
After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
• List two classifications of urinary incontinence and their causes.
• Describe two behavioral treatment options used for urinary incontinence.
• Identify three treatment modalities for urinary incontinence.
