OVERVIEW

The 31st Annual Update In Primary Care is organized by Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and will be held from May 10, 2018 - Jan 18, 2019.

The target audience for this medical event is Primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and allied health care professionals. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 14.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description:
This course is to provide attendees with clinically relevant information about the rapidly changing updates and clinical practice guidelines and has been designed to update regional primary care providers on advances in a variety of internal medicine topics with a dual focus on improving their own clinical practice and highlighting the referral expertise of The Medical College of Wisconsin. Each morning opens with a one-hour featured speaker from various MCW clinical departments followed by five speakers from the Division of General Intenal Medicine, in addition to optional noon workshops.

Course Objectives:
• Name the new advances in heart failure management including medications and devices.
• Identify methods of integrating trauma care into their own clinical practice.
• Implement the latest standards in pre-op evaluation for their patients.
• Describe resources available to perform travel medicine evaluations for patients.
