OVERVIEW

Telemedicine Technology Trends: Leveraging Tech to Treat Patients is organized by Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS).

  • Course opens: 10/08/2020
  • Course expires: 12/31/2023

Course Description:
Telemedicine is often described as a tool physicians can use when delivering medical care, but the equipment, devices, and other technologies that make telemedicine possible are much more complex than a stethoscope or a scalpel – and are constantly progressing. Understanding what is available and what would be most helpful for your practice and your patients can be challenging.

Join ISMS for a presentation by Jordan Berg, Telehealth Technology Assessment Specialist at the National Telehealth Technology Assessment Center, to learn more about the devices and technologies that are available for physicians interested in expanding their use of telehealth services.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize what options and components are available for providing telehealth and telemedicine services to patients
  • Identify issues to consider when determining whether to include telehealth technologies in your practice and which technologies would be most useful.
  • Identify the specific telehealth tools that can facilitate specific care delivery goals.
