Overview:
Parathyroidectomy is the standard therapy for patients with primary hyperparathyroidism. The surgical management of patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) has undergone considerable advances over the past two decades. This course will discuss the surgical treatment guidelines for patients with primary hyperparathyroidism as well as review the techniques that have made this surgery an outpatient procedure at Miami Cancer Institute.

Explain primary hyperparathyroidism treatment guidelines, surgical techniques and immediate outcomes of minimally invasive parathyroidectomy.
