Today on MedNet21, we're going to discuss Stroke Update.

The presentation will review the current evidence and the most recent updated recommendations and AHA guidelines on acute ischemic stroke treatment including intravenous thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy.

Objective(s) :
As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to: UNDERSTAND the evidence behind IVtPA for acute ischemic stroke treatment, and DESCRIBE the evidence behind mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke treatment. You’ll also learn about the following:
• Catheter-based intervention in acute stroke
• Choosing the right brain imaging test
• Time goals for treatment of acute stroke
• Blood pressure management in acute stroke
• NIH Stroke Score
