Strategies to Increase Your Confidence with Buprenorphine Prescribing in Primary Care is organized by California Society of Addiction Medicine (CSAM) and will be held during Jun 09, 2016 - Jun 15, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is Physicians who are looking to exand their treatment of patients with opioid use disorders using buprenorphine. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
Conference Description :
The goal of this webinar is to review common problems encountered in buprenorphine prescribing via case vignettes. Approaches and strategies for these common challenges will be provided.
Conference Objectives are :
• To review proper patient selection for buprenorphine and be able to educate patients how to do a home induction.
• To understand the use of buprenorphine in patients with pain and an opioid use disorder.
• To identify those patients with pain and co-occurring opioid use disorders for whom buprenorphine may be a preferred pharmacotherapy as part of a comprehensive management plan.
• To develop an approach to concerning behaviors that may arise in the patient taking buprenorphine.
• To be able to educate patients who are taking methadone how they, as their primary care physician, will help them transition to buprenorphine.
