Course Overview:
This presentation by Dr. Ellen Fitzenrider, DC will focus on ways chiropractors can properly implement compliant documentation into their practice. These steps include transitioning patients to episodic care (Active vs. Maintenance), documenting to carrier guidelines and cutting out unneeded information from your notes, and other important aspects. Dr. Fitzenrider will focus on making sure assessment tools, scores, deficiencies, and goals are in the notes, the importance of having updated macros which are being used properly, EHR retraining, and more.

After viewing this program, registrants will be able to:
• Identify and understand where the deficiencies in their documentation.
• Recognize how to "reframe" their mindset, from fear to INFORMED. And to make compliant documentation a priority from a place of empowerment, not panic.
• Communicate more effectively with patients about their role in compliant care, and be clear about what 'medically necessary' care is.
• Propose significant steps towards being confident in their documentation, and feel less overwhelmed as they continue on their evolving journey of compliance.
