Status Epilepticus

Status epilepticus (SE) is a medical emergency that requires immediate and coordinated intervention to prevent long-term neurologic damage or death. Defined as a seizure lasting more than five minutes or two or more seizures without full recovery of consciousness between them, SE can rapidly progress to refractory or super-refractory states, complicating treatment and worsening outcomes.
