Objectives:
• Recognize individuals who may be at high risk for type 2 diabetes and who might benefit from screening.
• Diagnose type 2 diabetes in asymptomatic individuals with mild hyperglycemia.
• Initiate appropriate interventions for patients at high risk of early type 2 diabetes.
