Relapse prevention planning-by way of mind travel is organized by Appalachian Way Counseling, LLC. This course has been approved for a maximum of 7 Hours.

Overview:
This training is relevant to certification or recertification for educational requirements and professional growth issues, along with treatment planning, case management, and discharge.

Materials provided by NIDA, SAMSHA, American Counseling Association with a power point.

This class provides an overview to address relapse in treatment define characteristics, and risk factors with a focus on interpersonal detriments. Professionals will explore the Jellinek curve, Gorski Model, Stages of change and Disease model….with discussions for better understanding of relapse. Interventions and preventions will be explored with 9 steps to facilitate relapse prevention.

This class will provide an opportunity for aspiring and seasoned counselors to explore their own understandings of relapse and gain insight into expanded supports for clients.
