This class provides an overview to address relapse in treatment define characteristics, and risk factors with a focus on interpersonal detriments. Professionals will explore the Jellinek curve, Gorski Model, Stages of change and Disease model….with discussions for better understanding of relapse. Interventions and preventions will be explored with 9 steps to facilitate relapse prevention.
This class will provide an opportunity for aspiring and seasoned counselors to explore their own understandings of relapse and gain insight into expanded supports for clients.
