Lipid Management in the Pediatric Population is organized by UW-Madison Interprofessional Continuing Education Partnership (ICEP) and will be held from Mar 17, 2020 - Mar 16, 2023.

Target Audience:
This activity was planned by and for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, behavioral health professionals, and others who care for patients with mental health illnesses and are interested in assessing the risk factors for suicide and improving suicide prevention.

Course Overview:
This course provides interactive learning experience to explore risk factors for suicide in adults and adolescents, managing suicidal risk, and available suicide prevention resources. Participants have multiple opportunities to engage in learning by viewing a TED Talk-style presentation, working with the clinical cases and receiving immediate feedback, contributing to a discussion forum, and studying provided resources.

Learning Objectives:
As a result of participation in this course, members of the healthcare team will improve their collective ability to:
• Use best practices in recognizing and managing suicidal risk.
• Assess the risk factors for suicide in adults and adolescents.
• Discuss the relationship between substance abuse or self-injurious behavior and suicide.
• Identify suicide prevention resources and referrals that can be provided to patients.
