Reaching Out To Manage Poorly Controlled Asthma: The Pharmacists Role In Patient Training And Medication Adherence is organized by Pharmacy Times Continuing Education (PTCE) and will be held during Oct 20, 2017 - Oct 20, 2018.

The target audience for this medical event is Pharmacists practicing in the specialty, retail, and ambulatory care settings. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1 CE Credit.

Conference Overview :
This application-based activity will focus on the pharmacist's role in the management of patients with poorly controlled asthma through counseling and patient education. It will also present the current treatment guidelines and the advantages and disadvantages of each medication.

Conference Objectives :
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
Explain the prevalence and consequences of poorly controlled asthma and recognize the different phenotypes of asthma.
Examine and compare the current treatment guidelines for poorly controlled asthma in considering therapy.
Identify the various inhaler choices including advantages and disadvantages of each medication delivery device.
Assist patients in managing their poorly controlled asthma through counseling and patient education.
