Description:
Screening for major depressive disorder (MDD) in primary care is the critical first step in diagnosing this disease and initiating appropriate treatment. Once initiated, treatment needs to be optimized and targeted interventions to address nonadherence need to be considered. This activity reviews practical approaches to screening, diagnosis, and treatment of MDD in daily practice and discusses new available therapeutic options.
