ABIM MOC:

Program Overview:
This course features 5 sessions designed to update primary care clinicians on cardiovascular related issues commonly encountered in internal medicine and family medicine practice. It reviews the clinical presentation, diagnostic tests, differential diagnosis, and management strategies of some of the most common cardiovascular issues. Topics include: LDL-C Management and Risk Reduction, Triglycerides in CV Risk Reduction, Using Clinical Trials to Improve CV Outcomes, How Precision Medicine Applies to CV Prevention, and Heart Disease in Women.

Session 2 (49 minutes) - How Important are Triglycerides in CV Risk Reduction
Session 3 (42 minutes) - Using Clinical Trials to Improve CV Outcomes in Patients with LDL-C Excess
Session 4 (43 minutes) - Precision Medicine: How it Applies to Cardiovascular Prevention
Session 5 (51 minutes) - Heart Disease in Women: Sex Matters

Primary Care On Demand: Cardiology will educate and promote improved patient outcomes for cardiovascular issues commonly encountered in internal medicine and family medicine practice.
