OVERVIEW

Preparing for Office-Based Medical Emergencies is organized by Texas Medical Liability Trust (TMLT) and will be held from Jun 01, 2018 - Jun 01, 2021.

Target Audience:
This one hour activity is intended for physicians of all specialties who are interested in practical ways to reduce the potential for malpractice liability.

Credits:
• 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (Internet Enduring)
• 1 Medical Ethics and/or Professional Responsibility

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the physician will be able to:
• identify common risks associated with office-based emergencies;
• evaluate office staff skills, experiences, and certifications to handle such emergencies; and
• understand the importance of written emergency protocols and routine drills involving all staff members.
