PPE for Dental Clinicians in the Era of COVID-19 is organized by Dental Learning Systems, LLC.
Start Date: Jul 07, 2020
Expire Date: Jul 31, 2023
Description:
SARS Coronavirus 2 has dramatically changed the way we look at infection prevention and control in dental health care. One of the most significant changes has been in the interim guidelines for personal protective equipment (PPE). Concerns about the potential for airborne spread of COVID-19 via aerosols put dentistry at the forefront of healthcare professions that may have a higher risk of exposure. This webinar will review the interim guidelines, provide information on how to reduce the risk associated with aerosol-generating procedures, and discuss the new interim recommendations for PPE, including when and how to place and remove PPE.
Learning Objectives:
• Describe the PPE recommended for non-aerosol and aerosol procedures in dentistry
• Identify the steps in complying with OSHA’s requirements for the use of respirators (N95 and others) in health care settings
• Define the sequence for donning and doffing PPE as recommended by the CDC
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
