Each individual course has been approved for 1 credit hour as an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1), as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the RCPSC.
Course Description:
Parenting is the strongest modifiable determinant of behavioral and emotional health in children. There are established benefits to the physicians assisting families to learn positive parenting principles via multiple brief interventions. The science/evidence behind the CPS Positive Parenting Statement will allow the participant to learn some quick and pragmatic tools that can be used in an office setting. These skills can be employed across patient populations including those that are experiencing adversity.
