Positioning Course and Breast Imaging Update for Technologists is organized by Ontario Association of Radiologists (OAR) and will be held on Apr 28, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is Medical Radiation Technologists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 9.5 Category A Credits. Course Objectives:
At the end of this event, participants should be able to:
• Apply standardized mammography positioning techniques
• Apply the easiest and best way to position to include maximum pectoral and inframammory fold (IMF)
• Apply proper use of correct body mechanics to avoid workplace injury
• Review and discuss interventional procedures using Digital Breast Tomosynthesis
• Evaluate Patient Care: Communication and Documentation
• Review & discuss breast screening in the LGBTQ community
• Review and discuss detailed digital mammography QC
• Review and discuss what a technologist learned as a breast cancer patient that can be applied to day-to-day practice
• Apply tips on positioning challenging/difficult patients
