Activity Overview:
This activity is intended to increase knowledge regarding oral conditions, such as acid erosion/wear, xerostomia, periodontal disease, and oral conditions found in the edentulous population. Education will focus on disease states, identifying of at-risk patients, available treatment options, and opportunities to treat disease and improve overall oral health.

Educational Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• Outline appropriate patient intake questions and terminology to assist the pharmacist in caring for patients with oral health needs
• Recall the causes of dental erosions, dry mouth, and periodontal disease
• Recognize drug classes or medications that may cause dry mouth
• Discuss the need to appropriately clean dentures
