Goal:
Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in Texas must understand laws and regulations relating to the practice of pharmacy. This module will address recent updates to the Texas Pharmacy Act and the Texas Board of Pharmacy Rules that impact the pharmacy profession, interprofessional collaboration, and patient care.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
• List recent changes to the Texas Pharmacy Act and the Texas Board of Pharmacy Rules;
• Explain the purpose and requirements of the Prescription Monitoring Program in Texas;
• Identify the requirements for pharmacist administration of epinephrine in Texas; and
• Discuss the impact of pharmacy rules changes on the access to and quality of healthcare in Texas.
