Activity Description:
The Pediatric Immunization Primer for Pharmacists is a two-hour application based webinar. The webinar will assist pharmacists in meeting the requirements to administer vaccinations to children in compliance with new guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Learning Objectives for Pharmacists: At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
• Describe the 2020 HHS Authorizations and the requirements for pharmacists who vaccinate children
• Outline situations that would require referral to the primary care physician
• Summarize the requirements for Vaccine For Children (VFC) participation and the patient eligibility
• Discuss pediatric vaccination techniques and pain management strategies
• Explain common myths leading to vaccine hesitancy and the approaches to dispel them
