Overview:
This online lecture series is designed as a pediatric pharmacology update at the advanced practice level. Sessions focus on current recommendations and controversies in drug therapy for common pediatric and adolescent health concerns. Teaching methods include lecture, discussion and case analysis.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:
• Discuss common acute and chronic pediatric pain conditions.
• Discuss the indications for when Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) should be prescribed, evaluating the risks and benefits in specific pediatric clinical scenarios.
• Distinguish staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome from mimics including Stevens Johnson syndrome.
• Improve provider comfort in diagnosing and managing pediatric anxiety.
• Recognize the typical patterns for different animal bites.
• Recognize health needs and disparities of transgender youth.
