Pediatric Asthma Part I: Risks, Burden, Practice Gaps - For Nurses is organized by Physicians Insurance/Experix and will be held during Feb 07, 2017 - Feb 07, 2020.

The target audience for this medical event is Pediatricians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, RNs. Other interested healthcare practitioners are welcome to participate. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.5 contact hours.

Course Description :

Asthma is the most common chronic health condition in children under 18 years old. Low-income, minority and underserved populations are most at risk for poor outcomes. While there have been significant improvements in asthma care, barriers to the implementation of effective treatment remain. This monograph gives an overview of pediatric asthma statistics and practice gaps.

Conference Objectives are :

Upon completion, participants should be able to:
• Describe barriers to appropriate care experienced by at-risk patient groups
• Access and use resources and tools for clinical decision making and patient/family education and communication
