Patient Safety Beyond Our Borders: Different and the Same is organized by American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and will be held during Feb 27, 2017 - Feb 26, 2020.

The target audience for this medical event is Anesthesiologists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Description:
The presentation will discuss the risks of anaesthesia and surgery in low-resource settings, the opportunities to advance the safety of surgical patients in those settings and the ways in which they relate to safety initiatives, past and present, in the developed world.

Conference Objectives are:
• Identify the safety profile of surgery in low resource settings
• Compare patient safety initiatives in low resource settings to accomplishments and challenges in high resource settings
• Recognize achievable, scalable and sustainable interventions to reduce surgical mortality in low and middle income countries.
