Learning Objectives

After completing this program participants should be able to:

• Recognize the risk for, and impact of hypoglycemia in patients with diabetes. 
• Describe strategies for reducing the of glycemic variability. 
• Understand effective SMBG vs. newer CGM in managing diabetes and reducing risk of dysglycemia/hypoglycemia. 
• Differentiate between available insulin preparations and the effects on glycemic variability and hypoglycemic risk.
