• Describe the risk of opportunistic infections (OIs) in patients living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA)
• Recognize common OIs in patients with HIV/AIDS
• Identify the medications used for both prevention and treatment, as well as necessary medication monitoring for management of OIs in PLWHA
• Discuss OI treatment-related adverse events and strategies for managing these side effects
