Activity Description: 
Andrea M. C. Sorbello, MSN, APRN, PNP-AC is currently a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Andrea comes to us with 2 decades of nurse practitioner cardiac ICU experience and 29 years of experience in ICU nursing. She is also on faculty for the Acute/Chronic Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Pennsylvania. As a result of this activity, participants will be able to review current recommendations and describe the mechanisms of cardiovascular drug therapy in pediatrics. This program was captured at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware on October 28, 2022. 

Learning Objectives: 
Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to: 
• Review the anatomy and physiology of the autonomic nervous system.
• Describe the mechanism of action, clinical uses, metabolism, and potential adverse effects of cardiovascular medications. 
• Review the current recommendations for use of cardiovascular drug therapy in pediatrics.
