The Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) was enacted to enhance the processes that ensure safety and accountability throughout the drug supply chain. This comprehensive course provides you with a deep dive into the core principles of DSCSA regulations, the responsibilities of pharmacies to maintain compliance, and the necessary tools and resources to guide the implementation and navigation of this transformative legislation.

Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE course, pharmacy technicians should be able to:
• Review the purpose and goals of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).
• Discuss how to meet the requirements for working solely with “authorized” trading partners/vendors.
• Describe the requirements and process for capturing and storing data for each transaction at the package level.
• Summarize how to identify, investigate, and manage suspect and illegitimate products.
• Explain the process of reporting a confirmed illegitimate product to the FDA and your trading partners.
