Description:
This class provides an overview of the brain and its structures, the central nervous system and the neurologic assessment including mental status, cranial nerves, motor function, pupil response, and Glasgow Coma Scale.  Learners will benefit from a recap of the most common neurological disease processes including symptoms, treatments and nursing management for traumatic brain injury, increased intracranial pressure, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease as well as seizures, brain tumors, concussions, and strokes.
