Description:
This course will provide a review of cardiac anatomy and physiology, assessment techniques, and nursing interventions for the most common cardiac conditions. Also included is the American Heart Association’s eight behavioral metrics for cardiovascular health, diagnostic tests, first line medications for disease management and nursing interventions for cardiac patients. Students will learn through case studies to test knowledge gained throughout the course.
