The target audience for this medical event for Physicians who have contact with patients and family members, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers and other interested healthcare professionals. Conference Objectives are :
• Identify the differences between shared decision making and informed consent.
• Utilize the "Best Case/Worst Case" model to facilitate shared decision making with patients and families prior to informed consent.
