Description:
The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) auricular acupuncture protocol is recognized as a proven best practice and useful tool in the treatment of addictions. The protocol, which has been in use since the 1970's, originated at Lincoln Hospital in the South Bronx as a grass roots response to the heroin and crack epidemic. The NADA technique, which is a standardized auricular treatment using needles, seeds and beads, can be used as part of a comprehensive integrated substance abuse treatment system to provide symptom relief, improve client retention and promote overall health and wellness. The technique has a role in reducing stress, anxiety and addressing trauma.
