OVERVIEW

nAMD and DME: Reducing Treatment Burden is organized by Healio, Vindico Medical Education.

This enduring material is approved for 1 year from the date of original release, September 5, 2025, to September 4, 2026.

Description:
The recent approval of sustained delivery devices and intravitreal therapies that offer extended duration of action for the management of patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME) have resulted in a decreased requirement for frequent treatments while maintaining gains in visual and anatomical outcomes. Real-world integration of these therapies into personalized treatment protocols offers the potential to revolutionize the management of patients with DME and nAMD, reducing treatment fatigue and preserving patient quality of life. In this CE activity, experts in the field evaluate real-world data of durable anti-VEGF therapies that demonstrate improved outcomes and adherence in patients with nAMD. Faculty also assess lasting and effective therapeutic strategies to enhance long-term outcomes for patients with DME. Real-world cases are presented, allowing for application of this important content into clinical practice.

Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Integrate real-world evidence into treatment plans to improve outcomes and adherence for patients with nAMD.
  • Implement durable and effective therapeutic strategies to enhance long-term outcomes for patients with DME.
